
Ontario is fortunate to have a good supply of energy, from both renewable and non-renewable sources. The renewable sources that supply some of the electricity for our growing population include windpower, waterpower and forest biomass. Ontario depends on energy to maintain a healthy economy and a healthy population.
Supporting the development of renewable energy is part of Ontario’s climate change plan. The Ministry of Natural Resources’ new windpower policy and the Ontario wind resource atlas are some of the tools we use to help develop renewable energy resources on Ontario’s Crown land for a healthy and sustainable future.
