Changes are being made to the way walk-in counter services are being offered by the Ontario government.

On April 1, 2006, walk-in counter services formerly provided by Ministry of Natural Resources district offices began transferring to the province’s 63 ServiceOntario Government Information Centre (GIC) locations. The services moving are:

  • General inquiries
  • MNR publications
  • Resident and Non-resident Hunting and Fishing Licences
  • Big Game Draw Applications Collection
  • Big Game Draw Tag Transfers and Replacements
  • Applications for Temporary Outdoors Cards

If you are interested in the services above please check to see if they have been transferred to the ServiceOntario GIC in your area.

You may also contact MNR program specialists and visit MNR district offices for ministry services not included in the list above.

For more information about these changes contact the Natural Resources Information Centre.
