If so, you may want to consider contacting the Ministry of Natural Resources for possible opportunities in the Post Secondary Co-operative Education Program.


The MNR Post Secondary Co-operative Education Program provides students with practical experience working in natural resources management. Through ministry placements, students will have exposure to new skills and knowledge to supplement their post-secondary academic program.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM


• MNR Post Secondary Co-op students can participate in a maximum of two semester long placements (generally Sept.-Dec. or Jan.-April).
• Learning opportunities focus on ministry key business.

 

WHAT TYPES OF JOBS ARE AVAILABLE?


The Ministry of Natural Resources offers internships in a diversity of professional fields (e.g. fisheries, forestry, fish and wildlife, parks and protected areas and enforcement, etc.).

 

WHAT IS THE SALARY?


Students in Post Secondary Co-operative Programs will be paid a percentage of an entry level position’s pay range as specified in the OPSEU collective agreement.

 

WHO CAN APPLY?


• Full-time post-secondary students currently registered in a designated post secondary co-operative education program (college or university)
• Those who are eligible to work in Canada.

The Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE) provides a database of Recognized Post-secondary Education Institutions in Canada.
