Waterpower Resource Atlas

The Ontario Waterpower Resources Atlas uses state of the art GIS technology to view Ontario’s waterpower resources and other natural values.  The atlas assists with the efficient and sustainable development of our Crown land resources.

This mapping tool illustrates Ontario's waterpower potential and helps identify promising sites for future waterpower development.

Windpower Resource Atlas

The Ontario Wind Resource Atlas gives Ontarians the ability to electronically view specific wind speeds and associated wind energy anywhere in the province. The purpose of the wind resource atlas is to help guide interested parties in wind energy development.

The Atlas shows wind speeds and power densities at five different heights above ground level: 10m, 30m, 50m, 80m, and 100m.
