The Oil, Gas and Salt Resources Library is a resource center for the study of the subsurface geology and oil, gas, salt and underground hydrocarbon storage resources of Ontario. The Library is the public access point to information collected by the Ministry of Natural Resources from industry clients about the drilling and operation of wells licensed under the Oil, Gas and Salt Resources Act, and for study of drill core and drill cuttings samples collected during the drilling of petroleum wells.

The Oil, Gas and Salt Resources Library
Operations of the Library are funded by the Oil, Gas and Salt Resources Trust (OGSRT) which is a joint Ministry and industry partnership established for the purposes of funding:
- Information management relating to oil, gas and salt resources, and
- Research, surveys and laboratory facilities and operations relating to:
- oil or gas exploration, drilling or production
- the storage of oil, gas and other hydrocarbons in geological formations
