The Ontario Forest Research Institute (OFRI) is home to MNR’s main forest research section. Researchers at this institute are working hard to better understand forests and their responses to human activities. What they learn helps ensure that Ontario’s forest management policies, planning, guides, and practices are firmly rooted in science.
If you’d like to know more about OFRI, browse this website or e-mail your questions to information.ofri@ontario.ca. Who's at OFRI besides forest research?
