Information on 2013 Black Bear Second Game Seals for Ontario Resident Hunters
Again this year, additional hunting opportunities will be available to resident black bear hunters through the purchase of a second game seal. A limited number of these seals will be available in selected Wildlife Management Units (WMUs) where bear population levels permit.
The second game seal allows the harvest of a black bear in the WMU specified on the seal. To purchase a second game seal, the resident of Ontario must have a valid resident's licence tag to hunt black bear. Only one second game seal may be purchased, and it must be used in the WMU specified on the seal. Note that a second seal may be used prior to using the game seal received with the resident's licence tag.
Second game seals are available from selected ServiceOntario Centres on a first-come first-served basis beginning on Thursday, August 1, 2013.
The cost is $46.17 (includes HST).
