In 2013 a total of 26,215 additional deer seals will be available in participating WMUs. Most of these seals will be offered for sale through an automated telephone system or by Internet from July 16, 2013 to July 31, 2013, on a first come, first served basis.
There will be two sales periods for hunters wishing to purchase additional deer seals by telephone or Internet. During the first sales period, from July 16-24, hunters may purchase only ONE additional deer seal. Once all hunters have had this opportunity to buy one additional seal, the Internet and telephone system will remain open for a second period, July 25-31, for hunters wishing to purchase multiple additional deer seals, where available.
When deer populations in certain Wildlife Management Units warrant, resident hunters may be offered the opportunity to purchase game seals to harvest additional deer. In offering these additional deer seals for sale, limits will apply on both the total number of seals a hunter may purchase and the number of seals a hunter may purchase for any one Hunt Code.
In 2013, additional deer seals will be available beginning July 16, on a first come, first served basis.
Additional deer seals for residents will be available through an automated telephone system (1-800-288-1155) and over the Internet.
A Hunt Code is needed to use the telephone and Internet systems. A Hunt Code is a three digit number that represents the Wildlife Management Unit, the type of deer, the season, and the type of firearm you have selected. Get a list of Hunt Codes (PDF, 100 kb)
Cost of each additional deer seal for residents is $46.17 (includes HST).
