How do I purchase a Non-Canadian Resident Outdoors Card?
For most Non-Canadian residents a complete and valid licence to fish consists of an Outdoors Card (or a Temporary Outdoors Card) accompanied by a valid fishing licence tag. The Outdoors Card is a plastic, wallet-sized card, valid for three calendar years. It is issued to anglers and hunters for identification and administration purposes. The fishing licence tag is carried either as a document separate from the Outdoors Card or printed on the back of the card.
If you have never had an Outdoors Card, you may choose one of the following options to obtain your first card:
- Online – You can purchase an Outdoors Card online at ontario.ca/outdoorscard and print your e-licence for instant use. Your permanent card will automatically be mailed to you.
- Authorized Licence Issuers – You can purchase your Outdoors Card by visiting an authorized licence issuer. They will issue a temporary Outdoors Card that you must keep with you until you receive your permanent card in the mail. Get a list of licence issuers.
- ServiceOntario – You can purchase your Outdoors Card at select ServiceOntario centres across the province. They will issue a temporary Outdoors Card that you must keep with you until you receive your permanent card in the mail. Get a list of participating ServiceOntario locations.
