Long Island Marine


Directions: From Highway #416, take Roger Stevens Drive east to Rideau Valley Drive south. Take Commodore Drive, then Commodore Lane to Long Island Marine. From the east side of the Rideau River, on River Road turn at the Swan on the Rideau Restaurant to go over the river at Roger Stevens Drive. Turn left (south) on Rideau Valley Drive, then left onto Commodore Drive.

 

Description: A private marina with a good boat launch and parking available for a fee. Fishing permissible off the main dock (away from boats). Washrooms available.Canteen available for snacks.boat launch at the Long Island Marine

Kars Public Wharf


Directions: From Highway #416, take Roger Stevens Drive east to Rideau Valley Drive south. Launch located in the town of Kars, turn left (east) off of Rideau Valley Drive onto Old Wellington Street (boat launch signs to follow).boat launch at the Kars Public Wharf

 

Description: A good wharf and deep water but tight maneuvering and a long walk to parking (at Kars Recreation Area). No fee required.

Kars Recreation Area

 

Directions: From Highway #416, take Roger Stevens Drive east to Rideau Valley Drive south. Launch located in the town of Kars, turn right (west) off of Rideau Valley Drive into the Kars Recreation Area (boat launch signs to follow).

 

Description: A nice facility with a sheltered ramp, dock and ample parking. Maintained by the Grenville-Carleton Sportsman boat launch at the Kars Recreation AreaClub. No fee. Washrooms (port-a-potties) available in the recreation area.

W.A. Taylor Conservation Area


Directions: Located off of River Road south of Manotick at Osgoode Main Street. From Highway #416, take Roger Stevens east, cross the Rideau River and then travel south on River Road to Osgoode Main Street. Entrance to area beside restaurant.

 

Description: This area is maintained and owned by the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority. The conservation area includes a parking lot, boat launch and dock, washrooms, picnic tables and a short nature trail. Fishing along the shore at and at the dock. A fee is requested to use the facilities.boat launch at the W. A. Taylor Conservation Area
