Black Rapids Lock
Directions: Directions: From Highway #417 (the Queensway) take the Vanier Parkway/Riverside Drive exit. Take Riverside Drive south, to Hunt Club Road. Travel west on Hunt Club, cross the bridge over the Rideau River, then travel south on Prince of Wales Drive (former Highway #16). Black Rapids Locks is located between Hunt Club Road and Fallowfield Road.
Description: Parks Canada lockstations provide beautiful areas to spend the day picnicking and fishing. A moderate size park area with suitable pay per use parking for day use with accessible washrooms available. A popular spot for fishing along the Rideau close to the city centre.

Eccolands Park
Directions: From Highway #417 (the Queensway) take the Vanier Parkway/Riverside Drive exit. Take Riverside Drive south past Hunt Club which changes name to River Road. Travel 1.5 km and look for the Eccolands park sign on the right hand side of road shortly after the gas station.
Description: This is a small park which provides a boat launch. The launch is a cement structure, floating docks, no fee, and can accommodate most size boats. The park also has a playground and picnic tables for a day trip.
