
Fitzroy Harbour
Directions: From Hwy #417 (Queensway) head West to Carp Rd (exit # 144). Head North on Carp Rd. (County Road #5) to the Galetta Side Road. Turn East on Galetta Side Road and then northeast onto Harbour St. Continue North on Harbour St. until you see the Boat Launch signs.
Description: Sign on road showing the launch. Good parking, but concrete dock in disrepair. No fee.

Fitzroy Provincial Park
Directions: From Hwy #417 (Queensway) head West to Carp Road (exit #144). Head North on Carp Rd. (County Road #5) to the Galetta Side Road. Turn right (East) on Galetta Side Road and then left (North) on Canon Smith Drive and continue to Park entrance on the left.
Description: Shallow natural beach launch with a dock nearby. Entry fee to park must be paid for launch access.

MacLaren's Landing
Directions: From Highway #417 (The Queensway) take exit #138 (Eagleson/March Roads). Follow March Road northwest 8.0 km to Dunrobin Road. Turn north onto Dunrobin and go northwest 20.2 km to the Galetta Side Road, turn left (West) and then right (North) on Woodkilton Road to the MacLaren's Landing area.

Description: Shallow and limited parking but has potential because of its location.

Buckham's Bay
Directions: From Highway #417 (The Queensway) take exit 138 (Eagleson/March Roads). Follow March Road northwest 8.0 km to Dunrobin Road. Turn north onto Dunrobin and go north 16 km to Constance Bay Road. Turn right (east) on Constance Bay Road and then left (north) on Bayview Drive. Launch is located at 1064 Bayview Drive.
Description: A reasonably good facility with a concrete wharf but limited parking. No fee.

Morris Island Conservation Area

Directions: Take Highway #417 West to the split, continuing west towards Arnprior on Highway #17. At the Galetta Sideroad, turn right (East), following it to Loggers Way. Turn left (North) and follow the signs (they feature a brown letter “C” enclosing an icon of water and pine trees) to the conservation area.To get to Morris Island from Carp, take the Carp Road to Galetta Sideroad, then turn left (West) to Loggers Way.
Description: Located near Galetta, off County Road #22, this beautiful day use site is nestled on the scenic Ottawa River and has 10 km of nature trails and accessible facilities, including trails, picnic area, fishing platforms and washrooms. The 47 ha of forested woodlands are ideal for hiking, canoeing, fishing and cross-country skiing.
