LAC DES MILLE LACS FACTS

 

  • Area: 24 510 hectares (60,565 acres) Maximum depth: 25 metres (82 feet)
  • Lac des Mille Lacs is the second largest lake in Zone 6 (after Lake Nipigon).
  • The lake has a complex shoreline and thousands of bays that offer opportunities for anglers.
  • The lake is located 120 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay and due to the high quality walleye and pike fishery it is home to many tourist outfitters.

Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass or any combination Open all year S – 4; C – 2
Northern Pike Jan. 1 - Apr. 14 & 2 nd Sat. in May to Dec. 31. S – 4; C – 2; not more than 1 greater than or equal to 70 cm (27.6 in.)
