Angler Diary for the 2010 Survey of Recreational Fishing in Ontario

The Survey of Recreational Fishing in Canada is conducted every 5 years.  It provides MNR with valuable information on the amount of time anglers spend fishing, the fish species they prefer, how many fish they catch and keep, and how much money they spend on fishing in Ontario.

The 2010 Survey of Recreational Fishing will be mailed to about 30,000 anglers in January 2011.  If you are selected for this survey, you will be asked questions about your fishing experience over the previous year.

To help support this survey, we encourage you to keep track of the locations and number of days you fish, how many fish of each species you catch and keep, and how much you spend on fishing-related activities.

Handy diary pages for tracking this information are available for download as a PDF file.

Results from previous surveys are available on our Technical Publications page for Fishing Surveys.
