The date on which your Canadian resident Outdoors Card expires is shown on the front of your card (centre right). To avoid any lapse in your privileges, it is recommended that you renew your card before it expires.
There are two ways to renew your Canadian resident Outdoors Card:
1. By connecting to the Outdoors Card website and using your VISA, MasterCard or American Express credit card. To complete this transaction you will need your Outdoors Card number, date of birth and the postal code we have on file for you. You will be able to print an E-licence for immediate use. You will automatically be mailed your new card.
2. In Ontario, by purchasing from selected licence issuers or ServiceOntario centres:
- a Canadian resident temporary Outdoors Card and Sport Fishing Licence Tag
OR
- a Canadian resident temporary Outdoors Card and Conservation Fishing Licence Tag
You will automatically be mailed the plastic three-year Outdoors Card. To be a valid licence to fish, this Outdoors Card must be accompanied by a valid Canadian resident fishing licence tag.
