Elimination of OGDE Membership Fees

Dear Ontario Geospatial Data Exchange (OGDE) Member,

Land Information Ontario is pleased to announce the elimination of OGDE membership fees. The announcement was made by Brian Maloney, Director of MNR's Geographic Information Branch, at last week's OGDE Governing Board Meeting.

Effective April 1, 2006 , existing and new members will no longer have to pay an annual membership fee. By removing this financial barrier, Land Information Ontario hopes membership in the OGDE will increase thereby creating more opportunities for members to exchange geospatial data.

Existing members are encouraged to reinvest their membership fees into furthering their geospatial projects.

The OGDE will continue to be funded by the Government of Ontario and this decision does not impact existing Land Information Ontario levies.
