The recent decisions of the Ontario Geographic Names Board (or Board) are displayed below. These decisions represent those names for geographic features that have been recommended by the Board and approved by the Minister of Natural Resources. For unincorporated place names and names from other authorities, the decisions represent those names ordered into the official names record of the province by the Board. The decisions sheets are used by the Board and the Minister in the decision making process. They are distributed to those involved in each names case and are considered the official and formal record that a name has been officially approved for use in Ontario.
