Annual Report on Forest Management - 2002/2003

 


New information contained in the 2002/03 report that was not included in previous reports includes:

 

  • For the first time, much of the digital information used to create this report was gathered through the Forest Information Portal with the participation of both the MNR and the Forest Industry. The Forest Information Portal was introduced in 2002.
  • A brief discussion of the Timber EA review process is included in the report.
  • Summarized results of 2001/02 Independent Forest Audits of nine (9) management units, namely Algonquin Park, and the Crossroute, Hearst, Nagagami, Northshore, Pineland-Martel, Romeo Malette, Sapawe and Superior Forests are included in the report.
