The Forest Operations Information Program (FOIP) is a provincial web-based database system used to submit reports on forest operations inspections performed by industry and the Ministry of Natural Resource inspectors. Reporting through this system is mandatory for MNR and forest industry inspectors.
FOIP allows the production of management unit level reports and annual report tables according to the technical standards and requirements of the Forest Information Manual and the new requirements of MNR's Class Environmental Assessment Approval for Forest Management on Crown Lands in Ontario.
The inspection reports help managers to focus on instances of non-compliance that may require immediate attention, identify trends, and provide feedback for compliance program adjustment and for reporting purposes in the Ontario’s annual reports on forest management.
If you are a certified forest operations inspector working for the Ministry of Natural Resources or for an industry company you can obtain a FOIP user id. Please contact the FOIP support team or go to the following web site for more details.
