Far_North_First Nations/Ontario Planning Together Workshop

 

First Nations from across the Far North have been invited to attend Planning Together II, a land use planning workshop being held in Thunder Bay from January 14 to 18, 2013.

 

The purpose of the workshop is to provide an opportunity for participants from First Nation communities, Tribal Councils, and Ontario to share their experiences and lessons learned from the land use planning process. The workshop will also provide time for dialogue among the participants on a variety of planning topics.

Planning Together: A First Nations/Ontario Workshop on the Far North Land Use Planning Initiative May 4-6, 2010
Thunder Bay, Ontario

 

 

This workshop was held to encourage dialogue and shared learning among First Nations and Ontario participants about the Far North Land Use Planning Initiative, including Bill 191.

 

The goals were:

  • for participants to learn more about the Far North Land Use Planning Initiative from each other
  • to better inform Ontario about the views of Far North First Nations
