  • Results of 2012 Falconer Collection of Wild Birds of Prey : In 2012 the Ministry received a total of 35 applications from falconers who wanted to be considered for one of the 25 authorizations to capture wild birds of prey.  Of 25 authorizations issued to falconers provincially in 2012, 15 falconers successfully collected a bird of prey.  As a requirement of the authorization, falconers reported the following captures during 2012: 
    Cooper's Hawk           5
    Red-tailed hawk         9
    Sharp-shinned hawk   1
