Outdoors Card and Hunting Licence Options
for Residents of Ontario


The one-year licence fees below are in effect until December 31, 2010 unless otherwise noted. Three-year fees are subject to change after August 31, 2010.

On July 1st, 2010, the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) for the Province of Ontario will come into effect.  The HST will generally apply to fees that cover a period that occurs on or after July 1, 2010.  For this reason, the rates quoted below may change.

 

NOTE: It is illegal for a hunter to hold more than one licence tag to hunt deer, moose or black bear.

NOTE: this Outdoors Card becomes a licence only when accompanied by a licence tag or E-licence. For some types of hunting, a paper licence, game seal and/or validation tag will also be required.

Ontario resident's moose licence tag, game seal and draw application. Expires December 31 in year of purchase.
  • Available by telephone (1-800-288-1155) from April 21 to May 31 for hunters who wish to apply for a moose validation tag on the automated telephone licensing line (with a credit card).
  • Also available from numerous licence issuers throughout Ontario. For the location of the issuer nearest you, contact the MNR office that serves your area.

Ontario resident's deer licence tag, game seal and draw application. Expires December 31 in the year of purchase.
  • Available by telephone (1-800-288-1155) from March 1 to June 30 for hunters who wish to apply for an antlerless deer validation tag on the automated telephone licensing line (with a credit card).
  • Also available from numerous licence issuers throughout Ontario. For the location of the issuer nearest you, contact the MNR office that serves your area.

Ontario farmer's deer licence tag, game seal and draw application. Expires December 31 in the year of purchase.

Ontario resident's licence (paper licence) and game seal to hunt wild turkey during the spring open season. Valid only with a small game licence tag.

NOTE: A fall wild turkey licence cannot be used for the spring hunt. The spring wild turkey licence is a separate licence.
  • Available by automated telephone licensing line (1-800-288-1155) with a credit card from March 1 to April 30.
  • Also available from selected ServiceOntario Centres and selected licence issuers in participating MNR districts.

Ontario resident's licence (paper licence) and game seal to hunt wild turkey during the fall open season. Valid only with a small game licence tag.

NOTE: A spring wild turkey licence cannot be used for the fall hunt. The fall wild turkey licence is a separate licence.

Maximum is one fall wild turkey licence per hunter.
Temporary Hunting/Fishing Outdoors Card.
