Volunteer programs offer individuals hands-on experience and networking opportunities, while assisting the Ministry of Natural Resources with its various wildlife related projects.
Some of these opportunities are available through local fish and game clubs, naturalists groups and "Friends of..." organizations found in most provincial parks and conservation areas.
There are also many provincial and national programs and organizations which rely heavily on volunteer assistance such as: the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, the Federation of Ontario Naturalists, the Canadian Wildlife Federation, Nature Canada, World Wildlife Fund, Ducks Unlimited and many more.
