Ask a Conservation Officer

Conservation Officers often receive questions about their enforcement work, relevant laws and interpretation of legislation. Please follow the links on the left for answers to the most commonly asked questions and valuable tips from officers on how to comply with legislation.

If you don't find the answer to your question on this site, please feel free to submit your query to a Conservation Officer via the ministry's Feedback Form.

We will make every attempt to reply to your message. However, due to the volume of e-mail we receive, we may not be able to respond to all inquiries.

Please note that the Enforcement Branch can only address questions related to natural resources law, interpretation of legislation, and the Ministry of Natural Resources Enforcement Program. For any other questions, please call the Natural Resources Information Centre at 1-800-667-1940 or e-mail mnr.nric@mnr.gov.on.ca.
