$2,400 Fine For Obstructing A Conservation Officer
A Midland resident was fined $2,400 for obstructing a conservation officer by providing false identification.
Grayton S. Willis pleaded guilty to charges of obstructing a conservation officer, contrary to the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.
Court heard that Willis used another person’s identification in order to elude a conservation officer during an investigation on August 5, 2009. During an unrelated investigation the next day, conservation officers discovered Willis’ true identity and he was arrested and charged for obstruction.
Justice of the Peace Dennis Miller heard the case in the Ontario Court of Justice, Penetanguishene, on November 20, 2009.
