Rural Landowners

As a rural landowner you have a great opportunity to fight climate change by planting trees.  You’ll also be adding to your property value and creating important wildlife habitat.

The Ministry of Natural Resources is working with Trees Ontario, a not-for-profit tree planting organization, to help rural landowners re-forest their property.

Rural landowners may be eligible for a subsidy to help pay for tree planting.  Please visit the Trees Ontario website to learn more about funding opportunities.

You can also visit the Ministry of Natural Resources Climate Change and Biodiversity websites to learn more about how planting trees will help the environment and our biodiversity (the variety of life in Ontario).
