- Janet Jackson, Research Analyst
- Jeff Robinson, Research Technician
The goal of this research program is to test the effects and effectiveness of forestry policies and practices on the conservation of wildlife biodiversity in the boreal forest regions of Ontario, and to assist in the development of new guidelines. The program focuses on spatial ecology, and in particular seeks to develop and apply quantitative methods that integrate analyses across spatial scales in a forest management context. To achieve this goal, research is required on several fronts, including spatial forest ecology and songbirds monitoring, meta-modeling (integrating spatial and non-spatial models), biodiversity and adaptive management, wetland, riparian, and aquatic ecology, and moose ecology.
Further program details can be found in the Spatial Ecology brochure (pdf - 1317kb).
