If you own land identified by the Ministry of Natural Resources as eligible for the Conservation Land Tax Incentive Program, an application will be sent to you during the summer prior to each new tax year. If you wish to participate in the program, simply complete it and return it to the address indicated on the application.
If you do not wish to participate, simply do not return the application.
If you have not received your application by July 1, call the CLTIP phone line at 1-800-268-8959.
Applications must be postmarked no later than July 31 of the current year to be eligible for the following tax year. (Example: Applications for the 2008 tax year must be postmarked no later than July 31, 2008.)
The CLTIP is currently an annual program. You must apply every year to continue participation in the program.
