MNDMF's Role

The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines and Foresty (MNDMF) is responsible for the identification and mapping of significant mineral aggregate resources.

Through aggregate resources inventory papers (ARIPs), MNDMF provides geological information and an assessment of aggregate resources to help prepare planning strategies and official plans. These reports include an assessment of sand, gravel and crushed stone resources for selected regions of Ontario.
