
The Ontario Aggregate Resources Corporation (TOARC), through an agreement with the Ministry of Natural Resources, acts as the Trustee for the Aggregate Resources Trust.
The Aggregate Resources Trust was established in 1997 to administer and direct certain portions of the aggregate resources program that were formerly administered by MNR, specifically:
The Aggregate Resources Act requires the submission of an annual report detailing the financial affairs of the Trust to the Minister of Natural Resources. The Minister of Natural Resources must submit the report to the Lieutenant Governor in Council and table the report in the Legislative Assembly. The report includes audited financial statements for both the Trust (Aggregate Resources Trust) and the trustee (The Ontario Aggregate Resources Corporation).
The Ontario Aggregate Resources Corporation (TOARC) was incorporated on February 20, 1997, with the Aggregate Producers’ Association of Ontario (now the Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association) as the single shareholder. The Corporation’s sole purpose is to act as Trustee of the Aggregate Resources Trust.
